Leah asked the Mamavation Mom graduates {Alyssa, Stacie, Lisa, me, Rachel, and Kim} to post pictures each Monday with our toes on the scale. Yep, we are that brave! And I’ll just tell you that the time it took me to lose weight during my Mamavation boot camp is the time it took me to gain it back! I sat on my behind for the last 2 months of nursing school and did nothing but study. While I’m not happy about it, I’m also not embarrassed to tell you. I know I did the absolute best I could in my situation. And I know many of you know where I’m coming from. I told Leah I’d just represent the Jareds of Mamavation. You with me?! c-:
Since I graduated, I have been running on the treadmill to build my endurance back up. I have been planning healthy menus and getting back into Dr. Renna’s nutrition plan. Myra from My Blessed Life asked if we could be accountability partners, so we are checking in with each other each day. And we just got the P90X program that is all the rage right now so we can give it a try. I can’t wait for it to get here!
While I have some work to do, I feel like I have less of a learning curve this time, I have the tools I need, and I have successes behind me that prove I can do it again. Glad to have y’all on this journey with me. So…Let’s get to it.

You will totally do — and probably faster this time around since you know what needs to be done!

Hope so! I feel like I’ve jumped back into the cardio intervals a lot easier than last time, that’s for sure! c-:

Those times of schedule changes are really tough to stick with things. Hope to see great results getting back with it!

I’m so proud of you. Doesn’t matter to me that you gain…all I care about is you are here now.

Sometimes it just takes a little push back in the right direction to get you back into the swing of things. Completing nursing school is no small feat so it is totally understandable that sometime had to take a back seat to that. You will get your momentum back and things will be great. YAY for toes on the scale, hehe!!

I have heard that it’s insane. Y’all are scaring me. But I have to at least try, right?!

I fall off, gain 5lbs and then lose them again – it will always be a struggle, but each time is easier because now you have the tools. You can do it Katie – I know you can!

Thanks for the pep talk, Lori!

But you kicked butt in school and will kick butt again with your health efforts. Personally I am a fan of P90X and was doing it before I got pregnant. I will be returning to it this summer because I think it is a lot of fun.

P90X reminds me a lot of soccer “hell camp” interval workouts when I was in high school and college. I suppose I am just a fan of those.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on p90x as Ive always wanted to try it.

Shannon, I’ll keep ya posted. It sounds scary, but seems to be right in line with what I learned during my Mamavation boot camp.

I’m so glad you posted this! I know that not being able to get the foods I need & feeling like crap, that w/in a couple weeks there will be damage to my loss! I want to get back down & pass my loss. We can do it! & I’m so proud of you for already getting back on the treadmill & working to get it gone again!!!! Keep it up! *hugs*
