Xon’s mom was visiting with a friend a few months ago, and we went to eat at The Colonel’s Lady in Winchester, Kentucky. The owner, Dawn, served us herself, and told us little tidbits about cooking and recipes throughout the meal. She was really surprised that Bradley packed away a full helping of meatloaf and green beans!
I had the quiche for lunch with some Blueberry Infusion, and Xon and I split a fresh-from-the-oven scone for dessert. {This was before Mamavation, y’all!}
It was heavenly!
One thing I LOVED about the tea room is that the tables aren’t all crammed together, and they were perfectly fine with me bringing a two-year-old fella to lunch. {At least they acted like they were!}
I wasn’t afraid he was going to break something every two seconds. The dining room is just comfy and spacious. It was nice to sit down and eat some real food and support a local business.
Dawn just started offering cooking classes, and I told her I’d be jumping right in as soon as I’m done with nursing school. I think that would be such a fun way to spend an evening with the girls. But I may slip back for lunch before then! Maybe for my free meal for Mamavation, huh?

Hello, I would love to win this giveaway. My mothers coming for a visit in March and we are looking for fun and frugal things to do.
And by the way, my favorite place to visit in the lexington KY area is not the Horse Park or any of the well known attractions, but rather Logan Hubble Park right here in the Lancaster area. There are riding trails (if you have a horse) pretty roads for bicycling and lakes and playground areas for picnicing with kids. Just go in the good weather
