Good morning, everyone! I’ve been a little preoccupied and haven’t been paying attention to the weather reports lately. So I was surprised to look out the window this morning and see SNOW! We have a farm full of cedar trees, and it’s so pretty to see snow on the cedars. {Wasn’t there a book about that?} Did you get any snow this morning in your neck of the woods?

Well, you all know how much I love Kroger. I put together the weekly Kroger list at Inexpensively, I love that they double my coupons, and they’re just generally pleasant to work with. :-) I just found out that Kroger Personal Finance added a new option to their pet-insurance plans. It’s an accident-only plan, that covers a cat or dog for $9.95 a month. So you can get reimbursed for unexpected accidents, like car accidents, stings, sprains, etc. I used to be the adoption coordinator for a rescue group in Georgia, and we certainly would have liked all our dogs to have pet insurance–especially after seeing the enormous vet bills we paid each month. Our vet gave us a big discount, but our dogs needed a lot of care after a lifetime of neglect.

Even if you don’t have a Kroger nearby, you can still purchase the insurance online. They have other plans available, depending on what kind of coverage you need and what kind of pets you have. The prices range from $9.95 – $79. Take a look at www.krogerpets.com for the specifics.

Kroger wants to help you pamper your pets, so they’re offering one Frugal Femina reader a $25 Kroger gift card! There are lots of coupons available for pet products, so I know you can snag some good deals for Fido’s Christmas stocking! Keep reading for more details:

My cat has her own stocking. And she loves to the climb the tree – even though she is way too fat and declawed!

When we had 2 West Highland White Terriers for 12 years, we would alternate years naming one of them the official “Christmas Beard” of that year. Sadly, our female dog passed away this year. So our male Westie Charlie will be the “Christmas Beard” this year and in the future and will therefore wear a bow on his collar for family photos. We also will give him a special Christmas toy or treat!
