One of Bradley’s favorite activities is taking a brand-new crayon, tearing off the paper, and breaking it right in half. That’s half the fun of coloring, right? So I end up with a lot of little crayon pieces scattered about. While I was learning how to make homemade soap crayons for the bathtub, I also found a way to keep those little bits and pieces from ending up in the trash.
Here’s how:
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees. Cut up all your crayon scraps into little pieces, and put them in a muffin tin or soap mold. If you use your muffin tin for cooking, be sure to use paper liners.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the crayons have melted.
Let them cool, and then pop them out! I think they are ever so cute, and worth a few minutes of my time.

I bet your son just loves playing with them! That size is really good for small hands. My 3 yr old loved it, but my 1 year old kept trying to eat it like a cookie. She eats the regular ones, too.
