Hubby just got a new job, and that means we are being super frugal until he gets his first paycheck at the end of August. (Can we say, “Thank you, freebie stockpile?!”) We just ran out of dog food, so I almost cheered out loud when I saw the Target deal this week. Check it out:
Buy a 24-oz. bag of Chef Michael’s dog food from Purina at $4.49. Use the $3.50 Give A Bowl Purina coupon here and the $1.50 Target coupon here (or here – These sometimes work better for me at the store) to get it for free.
Or, if you’re like me and don’t like buying dog food all the time for your big ol’ pup, you can buy 2 bigger bags at $10 each, use 2 of each of the coupons, pay $10 plus tax, and get back a $5 Target gift card. So, you’d end up paying $5 plus tax for 2 big bags.
Thanks, The Thrifty Mama! You made my day!
Money Saving Mom reports that you can get another $3 Purina coupon. Check out the details here.
UPDATE: After thinking about it, I’m probably going to use (2) $3.50 coupons to get (2) bags of the regular Purina Dog Chow. With the gift card, that means I’ll pay about $8 plus tax.
